Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Fatal Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident near Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
Joshua had been under observation while recovering from minor injuries, his management team confirmed on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.
“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two close friends.”
