David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions involving women.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
